John Deere Presentation

Initially, we set up our field like a regular outreach event. Immediately after setting up, we were invited to go on a virtual reality tour with FIRST LEGO League team 3278, McJajjik. This was a 3-D CAD model that was controlled with a Wii remote. After, we spent the entire morning demonstrating the 2016 robot and conversing with John Deere employees about FIRST. We talked about the 2016 game along with the new 2017 game. We also provided updates on our progress with the 2017 robot. Some were even interested in other FIRST programs, which we also talked about. Waterloo FIRST Robotics Team 6455 also demonstrated their robot alongside ours but used their 2017 robot. Lots of John Deere representatives showed interest in the FRC demos and received a lot of information about the FIRST programs.
