Cow Town Throwdown

On October 30-31, 2015 we participated in the Cow Town Throwdown in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. This was our second year attending this event and everyone was excited to be back. We drove down mid morning on Friday and got to the high school in time to unload our robot before the practice matches started. All teams had one practice match before Qualification matches started. Participating in this event also gave us a chance to test out the Beta testing software.

We had our first  four qualification matches Friday night. The matches were to continue Halloween morning. After all the qualification matches had finished, we ended seeded second! We were very excited to be ranked as high as we were. Our alliance ended up being 3284 4-H Laser, 5006 Apophis, and fellow Iowan team 3928 Team Neutrino.

We made it all the way to the finals. We had a scare in the first finals match where the bins fell off of all three of our stacks. We were able to regain our composure and come back and win the last two finals matches! This this made it our second year in a row winning the event!
