STEM day at the Iowa State Fair, organized by the Iowa Governors’ STEM Advisory Council, helped to promote First Robotics Competition and FIRST. We were in a booth on the main concourse demonstrating our robot and talking to interested fairgoers. Those interested in attending the Iowa Regional or wanting to bring FIRST to their part of the state were able to ask questions and receive information. Spreading awareness of FIRST helped to highlight the STEM opportunities it creates for students of all ages across the world.
