We ran a workshop at the University of Northern Iowa’s Expand Your Horizons conference.  The workshop was for girls age 5th through 8th grade and covered how to program using C++ programming language.  At the beginning of the workshop, the girls were introduced to the basics of what C++ is and how to program using it.  Then, they used a basic outline to a program a robot to either drive in a straight line and come back, the shape of a square, or around an obstacle course.  They also learned how to drive our 2016 robot, Cricket.
