Driver’s tests tonight! Are you ready? Tonight we’re holding the robot and rules portions of the tests and getting started on driving portions. Unfortunately, we have a lot of students who are interested in drive team that we must limit tryouts to two position tryouts instead of leaving it open in the past.

Story time with Mr. Swartley tonight! Reading the Chairman’s Essay to the team and also showing our rough draft for the video! One of the best parts of piecing together the Chairman’s video? Going through all the photos from the past years. So many students have gone through our program and they’re moving on to do amazing things! So many faces of the Swartdogs can be seen throughout our past, and quite a few pop up at FIRST events, visiting our team, and mentoring other teams! It’s always nice to know how inspiring being a part of FIRST can be.

More on story time! T-shirt information, a review of GP, a quick run through of one of our more well known stories for GP that was mentioned by Woodie Flowers in the 2013 Kick Off! Charter bus for the trips this year! Whoa! We’ve never had enough students for this before, but it’ll sure be nice to have everyone in one rather than a bunch of vans from the school. Trip plans are in the works.

Safety Manual is coming along, although finishing that has taken a back seat to finishing the robot.

Robot names are being considered… Hmm. Any suggestions?

Preparing for our scrimmage this Saturday! Hopefully we have a working robot then, we should at the pace we’re going but things can always go wrong.
