Looking at our progress for this year, we’ve found phenomenal growth! With a total increase in students by 54% and a female increase of 60%! We’re thrilled with how many students are taking an interest in not only our team, but also expanding their skills and knowledge in STEM. One of the most rewarding things of FIRST, in our team’s opinion, isn’t just the creation and competition of a functioning competitive robot, it’s also the growth of our students, personally and academically. We don’t just build robots, we build people, as FIRST Team 1114, Simbotics, would say.

We can shoot frisbees? What? When did this happen? Well, looks like we can shoot! And score! Wow!

Driving practice tonight looked very good folks! Looking forward to drive team tryouts Thursday, after all, what’s more romantic than robots?

At story time Tuesday night we will be reading our Chairman’s Essay and talking about our video plan. We will also be going through the newly updated 2013 Safety Manual! Get excited kids, this is the stuff dreams are made of.
