FRC Team 525 and FTC team 6420 had a great day at the state capital for STEM Day. The students did an amazing job of explaining both programs to many interested politicians. We ended the day visiting the Senate Chambers with Senator Guth and his wife. Got interviews with Terry Branstad, Governor of Iowa, Bob Kressig, Iowa State Senator, Jeff Weld, Head of STEM in Iowa, and Walt Rogers, Iowa State Representative. It was a wonderful day to bring along our FTC team and show off both robots. A long day of spreading the FIRST message, but with a program like FIRST, it’s well worth the work and hours put into it.
