At the beginning of August, team 525 organize, led, and taught a workshop for mentors of new and young FRC teams from Iowa. The workshop was held from the 1st to the 3rd of August, and began at the University of Northern Iowa, where one of our team members explained the team’s leadership strategies. In addition to our team explaining our strategies for leadership, other teams shared their insight through video conferences. The aim of this workshop was to prepare new team mentors and coaches for the seasons ahead, and to give them the knowledge they would need to successfully lead their team. The three days culminated at our build site, the Doghouse, where workshop participants were put into groups to design and build a robotic arm which was supposed to complete a specific task.
